Javan's writings receive honors
Three of Javan's writings received honors in the 80th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition, all of them placing in the top 5% of entries. "Thirsting for God" was awarded 15th place, "Giving Thanks" received 24th and a portion of "Armed & Ready" was submitted and took 39th. A shortened version of "Giving Thanks" was published in "The Lookout" in November of 2011.
